One of only two traditional fisherman’s cottages left on the Newton waterfront in Stornoway, Sealladh na Mara Cottage has stood here for over 150 years.
The cottage has a combined living/dining room with a wood-burning stove. For home entertainment, there is a smart television with Netflix and BBC iPlayer. The separate kitchen comes with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. To make the cottage even cosier, there is gas central heating, continuous hot water and double glazing.
The cottage has two bedrooms and is the perfect fit for two people, couples or friends. There is one double bedroom downstairs. The upstairs bedroom can be set up to suit you with either twin beds or a king-size double. The bathroom has a combined bath and shower.
Location
The cottage is located one minute by car from the ferry terminal and main supermarket, and a few minutes from the main facilities of the town. One of the town’s best cafés – Beckett & Sons – is a few minutes’ drive away. When the weather is stormy, you can hunker down with a wide selection of books and magazines, Netflix and BBCiPlayer. Sealladh na Mara Cottage is conveniently situated to enjoy everything that Stornoway has to offer and is an ideal base for exploring the islands of Lewis and Harris.
